Catherine’s Care Center

COVID-19 UPDATE AS OF:  3/14/2024

The facility remains open to visitations with masks optional.  Screening is not required at this time but we do ask if you’re having symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID you refrain from your visit.

Currently Quarantined:

Staff Positive: 0*

Resident Positive: 0**

*Any staff that test positive is off work and quarantined anywhere from 5 to 7 days per CDC guidelines from the date of the positive test or onset of symptoms.  Amount of time off work depends on asymptomatic status and contingency or crisis staffing needs of the facility.

** Any resident who test positive is quarantined in a private room for 7 to 10 days from the date of the positive test following CDC guidelines as to when the resident can come out of isolation.  All staff wear full PPE including an N-95 mask when providing care for COVID positive residents.

Catherine’s Care Center is named after founder Catherine Lancia.  It opened its doors in 1967.  The Center began as a thirty-bed facility and then expanded to fifty beds in 1969.  It is state licensed and certified as a Medicaid and Medicare facility. It has semi-private rooms with connecting bathrooms. At Catherine’s Care Center, we not only pay attention to the basics but try to add the little touches that make life more pleasant.

Location:     Catherine’s Care Center is conveniently located in historic downtown Steubenville, Ohio. Take the Ross Street exit from Route 7 and then proceed to Sixth Street and make a right.
